What to expect? Expect miracles but not from this blog

I've finally done it... crossed the threshold into a new form of communication, the blog! A bit scary but also a great creative experiment. Expect the topics to veer in all directions from travel to social and environmental concerns, spiritual insights, creative writing, basically a digital collage of the joy, heartbreak, and inspiration that crosses my path.

On my mind lately, the impact of population growth on:

• the environment - access to it, appreciation for it in our younger generation and sustaining diversity
• consumption of natural resources - check out your ecological footprint (ouch)
• culture - sprawl and the growing gap between neighbors, rich and poor
• the soul - interference in our connection with our inner voice by our unnaturally busy lives
